Rules exist to make this wiki a comfortable, welcoming place for users to share information about Beyond: Two Souls and all things related to it. You can help us create an ideal community by adhering to the following rules:
- You must be at least 16 years old to use this wiki. To make it easier to enforce this wiki's privacy policy and comply with applicable data consent laws, all users of this wiki must be 16 years of age or older. You're free to give out personal information at this age, so use good judgment when deciding how much you want to reveal and to whom. Any user found to be 15 years of age or younger will be immediately banned (with the possibility of having the ban lifted after they turn 16).
- Avoid objectionable content in usernames. Your username may not contain any profanity or terms that could be reasonably construed as racist, threatening, drug- or gang-related, or sexually explicit. Any user with an inappropriate name will be immediately banned (with the possibility of having the ban lifted after they change their username).
- Respect other users' boundaries. This encompasses almost every interpersonal interaction. Don't do anything that could reasonably offend another user, and change your behavior if someone tells you that it causes them offense or distress. Serious violations such as stalking, harassment, doxing, threats of violence, and gratuitous verbal or emotional abuse are grounds for an immediate, permanent ban.
- Assume good faith until given reason not to. The vast majority of users want to make positive contributions to the wikis they frequent, though they may not be familiar with a given wiki's rules or style guidelines. Always try to educate new users whose edits aren't in line with this wiki's Manual of Style, and don't assume they were made with malicious intent except in cases of serious and/or repeated violations - these are the marks of a vandal, and dealing with vandals is the admins' responsibility. Note that vandalism includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following acts:
- Spamming
- Adding false information to articles or blogs
- Adding nonsense or gibberish to articles or blogs
- Adding foreign language (i.e., non-English) content to articles or blogs
- Making factual changes to an article without citing a source (e.g., adding unverified information, changing or removing established facts)
- Do not add blatant or unmarked spoilers to articles, blogs, or users' Message Walls. Although Beyond: Two Souls was originally released in 2013, it's been rereleased multiple times and attracted many new fans since then. People who are playing the game for the first time may not know about Aiden's origins, Jodie's real family, or how her story can end, so respect these people by not ruining the game's biggest surprises for them.
- Do not impersonate other users. This holds doubly true for the admins and Fandom staff, and is grounds for an immediate, permanent ban.
- Do not create sock puppet accounts. Any account used to evade a ban will also be banned.
If you have questions about any of the rules, please contact one of the active admins.
